This morning as we were heading off for preschool, we saw a little parakeet flying around in our background. What a surprise! He obviously had no idea what was going on or really where to go. He seemed very confused to the outside world. So I asked a few of my neighbors if they were missing a pet bird. I found no takers. Poor little guy. When we came back from school, he was gone. I hope he found some food.

One of my New Year’s goal is to organize my clothing closet and linen closet. If you open the doors to both closets, things falls out. And what do we do? Just throw it back in. My clothing closet is a disaster! Piles and piles of shoes are on the ground, tops are hanging on one side of the hanger, pants are thrown on the top shelf. I am a clothing pack rat. I keep all my clothing and I still have a few pieces from high school. So, I’m going to try to remedy this bad habit of mine. I’ve come to realize this weakness especially since I can spend many minutes in my closet trying to find shoe pairs thus making me late for an appointment. An Ikea trip is in the near future.
My friend Natalie‘s cousin-in-law Tiburon had an idea to document a day in your life. I took up the challenge, but it was a lot harder than I thought. Taking pictures of every activity that I perform in the day is a LOT. But I did manage to take a few pictures of the activities that we don’t always do everyday. So, I didn’t document the usually things like getting up, eating, getting dressed, diaper changes, playing, checking email/blogs, making dinner, etc. Unfortunately, the day to document was a very uneventful day–a day I had to “work” and clean. So, I’ll have to do this challenge again with a little more effort.

We are finally heading home from our Vegas summer trip. We had way too much fun and are sad to leave but can’t wait to see Seth. Stella and Lucas had so much fun with cousins and friends, and of course the spoiling of Grandma and Grandpa Waite. I had an enjoyable time hanging out with my siblings and friends. And am definitely grateful for my Mom for all the time off she gave me from my kids. I just got back from a weekend getaway to Reno to enjoy my high school reunion and all my girlfriends. I’ll post pictures when I get home. My camera is filled with 300 pictures of our trip! Lots of memories. One thing I won’t miss is the Vegas heat!

Crewcuts (aka J.Crew) has a really cute little girl butterfly dress on sale. I just love it because it brings back memories of my friend Lauren who had this butterfly dress that she would wear all the time–I think she even wore it to a high school dance. It became her stamp of signature, and she would wear it with these funny looking shoes. Anyway this little dress is almost the same cut too.
