For the baby shower, I asked each of the guests to bring to the party an advice card (which was enclosed in the invitation) filled out with words of wisdom or encouragement. I then asked my friend Carmen, who makes beautiful memory/journal/note books, to crafted together a little book for the guests’ advice card. She did such a wonderful job. “The Little Book of Motherly Wisdom” is so darling, and something I hope Lindsey will cherish forever.

what a fabulous idea! i love it. i never found out from you what you designed your invites in and how you got them printed. i’m working on some fun ones for my 30th birthday bash, but don’t know where to have them printed…
I just had them printed at Kinkos. I know not the best quality but they came out looking good. And of course I was on a budget.

did you design them in illustrator?
Photoshop. I just did the invitations, advice cards, bingo game, thank you notes in photoshop. The book is all handmade.
The book is so beautiful and every woman has given me great advise. Thank you so much Darleen for throwing me the most beautiful baby shower ever! Everything was coordinated and everybody had an enjoyable time. Your the best
did you use dingbats or clip art or what? it totally looks hand drawn in illustrator! i’m so impressed.
