I like the unexpected furniture choice in this breakfast room. Traditional meets modern. And I love the detail of the pottery collection.
SeaCloth has great casual fabrics–all are cotton/linen blend. Perfect for beach house furniture. And I also think they are just so lovely, especially since one of the owners lives near my house.
I can see myself taking a long hot bath in that claw-toe tub then taking a sweet nap on the daybed or cozying up to a nice book. Of course the vanity table is perfect for applying your beauty touches. See the complete house here.
This pretty porch is so clean, simple and white. Something about the white wood floor and the hanging plants remind me of Southern old-fashion style. And don’t miss the croquet set. A game of croquet used to be a summer time favorite at my grandparent’s house.
The owner of this darling little room did a few style updates for only $300. One of the main style update is she bought a shower curtain and attached it to a batted-covered board–voila…artwork! Then she put a new slipcover on her sofa with new pillows and refinished her coffee table with a metallic paint. Cute!
Last weekend I went to SoHo to meet up with my fabulous friend Heidi, who has a great eye for design and works for one of NYC’s #1 interior designer. Anyway, we headed over to Purl Soho to buy some fabric so I could make some pillows to update an old chair. Thank goodness Heidi was there! So many fabrics I liked! It was fun to see what fabrics I started out with but actually ended up buying.
