My children’s books are busting out of their book shelf. And everynight my kids pull books out to search for that superhero or princess book. Then it’s clean up of shoving them back on the shelf. I’m trying to figure out a way to organize our growing children’s library. I love what Kelly Wearstler did to her boys’ playroom.
I love getting a manicure and pedicure. During the summer, I’m pretty good keeping up with pedicured toes. Now my fingers? That’s a different story. I don’t do manicures, unless it’s a special occasion. On me the nail polish would last for a day. No point. But there is this new product called Minx. I heard about it watching E!News, then forgot the name and then rediscovered it. Basically Minx is a nail product that doesn’t chip and lasts a really long time. Like 2 months! When it’s applied to your finger nails you don’t even have to wait until it dries, and it’s available in really cool patterns and colors.
I excited to hear that Bravo is launching a show on the hip interior design couple, Cortney and Robert Novogratz and their six kids (not to mention that she is pregnant with her seventh). I love their style and how they transform space. And do you know that they live in Manhattan? With six children? Now that’s a rarity.
The house tour of Susanna from Paper Scissors Oranges is one of my favorite sneak peeks on Design Sponge. I love her pops of color against all the white. I definitely graviate toward color, and this is a beautiful way of expressing it. And the Paper Scissors Oranges studio is in my neighborhood! I always drive passed it but never knew exactly what it was. Now, I’m eager to sign Stella up in their art classes. Oh and look at her silver Hunter boots!
Once I get my boys’ room situated (we are still on the hunt for a big boy bed for Lucas and Jackson needs to get out of our room into the crib!), I want to do some wall decor in their room. And I don’t want to paint. But I’m thinking about getting some vinyl wall patterns. I’ve heard good things about vinyl. It will be perfect because I can change the walls as the boys grow older or when I get that itch to go on a rampant decor change. Byrdie Graphics has a lot of cute wall patterns for the home. Lots of graphic, nature and bird patterns. I have my eye set on these two. I love the growth chart–we are really getting into marking our children’s height and this would be perfect. Or the animals with the words (the circles can change colors) would be darling around the room. Great for learning and just too cute!
