One of the best ways to explore St. John was to hike, since most of the island is national park. We rented a jeep the entire time we were there and four wheeled up to hiking trials. We explored many early Danish sugar cane ruins and saw some Taino petrolygphs. We got kinda spooked when we saw a ton of bats in some of the ruins. It was also fun to hike to hidden beaches and find we were the only ones on the beach.
