This is the big year for her–the year you step it up a notch and start acting like an adult. The year you say goodbye to those youthful days. The year that you start REALLY feeling like you are getting old. Okay, maybe that’s a bad way to start off my birthday wishes to my old college friend. But I guess I’m already starting to dread that feeling, since it’s just around the corner for me. However, Natalie, I’m sure, is embracing it in a positive way. So, I just want to send you my love and wish you the best day! She’s got a rockin’ birthday party ahead of her (and let me tell you, she knows how to throw a fun party), so it’s already going in the right way for her. The only pictures I could find of me and Natalie are at her graduation party. One of the things I remember about that night were Natalie’s leather pants. I remember her telling me she bought leather pants and I was like ‘why’. But then I saw them on her and I thought she looked hot, so I was on the hunt to find a pair for me. Natalie always has had such a fun style and is that girl who makes other girls want what she has. It’s been fun watching our families grow, and I have so often turned to Natalie for questions and advice (she has a handful to give). Anyway, Happy Birthday Natalie! It’s so fun talking to you everyday!
(PS–what’s up with my high-rise pants??)

darleen! i’m both thrilled and horrified! thanks for the wonderful, kind words. i’m practically speechless! but. i i will speak out on the leather pants. they weren’t my best fashion decision. in my defence, they were a HUGE trend at the time. i’m not so sure i pulled it off, but i’ve never been one to turn down a trend! 🙂 at any rate. thank you for that. that made my day!

Look at Natalie in her sexy momma leather pants! I remember everyone wearing those. I never owned any. I am a little too short and stubby. I am glad you girls still keep in touch. I think it’s sad when friends drift apart.
