Yesterday I had the fabulous opportunity to go to the Rachael Ray Show–thanks to my girlfriend Amanda for hooking me up. What a long day it was but lots of fun! I headed down to the city around 8 a.m. and met up with Amanda and my other girlfriend Hillary. We had to wait in a line then wait in an audience holding room. Of course when we got into the studio we couldn’t take any pictures. But we got front row seats! (We like to think it’s because we are such a lovely set of fanatics–okay so we aren’t fanactics—okay, the truth comes out, we all haven’t watched a whole entire show of Rachael). Anyway, we didn’t win any loot, just the snack of the day. But we did get to see the very slender Ricki Lake and the hottie hubby of Kelly Ripa–Mark Consuelo, and of course there will be glimpse of us on TV for two shows. I thought it was neat to see all the behind the scene. Wow–there’s a lot of work that goes on. Between each segment, people come out doing product placement, Rachael’s makeup artists come out and beautify her, the food chefs come out and prepare the cooking segment. There are a ton of camera men and the stage manager who runs the show. Rachael’s got the talent–she is so composed and then when the camera starts rolling she’s in action. Anyway, I got tired from all the clapping and smiling. And I have to do a huge thank-you shout out to my dear friend Lindsey for watching my children at the very last minute for the whole day event. Warning: I look really bad in the following pictures.

Looks like an adventure. We went to a taping at Opryland years ago when we lived in Nashville and I was surprised too at all that went on and how long you had to wait between segments.

I’m thinking it will air the second to last week in January. They said to check next week for airing dates. It will be the show that Ricki Lake is on and then another show with Mark Consuelo.

I’m with you – I’ve never even watched an entire show…mainly because I don’t care to cook. She seems really fun to watch though!

Adam hates Rachael Ray. Not her, but her cooking. He thinks anyone who makes food out of ritz crackers and mayonnaise doesn’t really cook! But I like anyone who can hep me make food fast. I hate cooking!
