Well I finally got our lighting completed in our hallway and entryway. I’ve learned a few things during this process–1. lighting is expensive! 2. measuring is very important. Of course I was on a budget, so many of the lights I liked were nixed. I needed to find lighting that had a nickel finish because other lighting in the house has that finish as well as door knobs. And I needed to be somewhat conservative for resale value. I definitely wanted a schoolhouse pendant for the hallway and bought it here. My entryway was my problem child. My ceilings are only 8 feet high, so that really limited what I could choose—really limited. Also the width of the entryway is not very large, and I still needed to find lighting that would give enough light since that was the only fixture in the area. So, I ended up choosing the Soho chandelier because it’s a period-style light to the age of the house, the length worked and it’s nickel. Not my first choice, but it will work.

I’m so happy that your lighting challenge has come to a close. Now we can focus on your master bedroom! The Soho chandelier looks better in your house than the picture on the website. I had my favorites but that one is very nice.
