On Saturday we took a day trip to somewhere in New Jersey to enjoy a day of swimming and park rides at Land of Make Believe. The place had a number of different things to do, but the kids enjoyed hanging out in the water park and carnival rides. And what was really great was that everything was geared toward children under 12, so Stella enjoyed going on ALL the rides (which I was quite surprised and impressed). She pulled Daddy along. Although he didn’t want to go on some of the rides (partially because he didn’t want to get dizzy and sick), he was a good sport and tagged along. Little Luke hung out with Mama and was very content going on the train ride and playing “make believe” on the hayride tractors. Little Luke absolutely loves everything to do with farming, and tractors are one of his favorite things so getting to ride one was a dream come true for him in many ways. One of our friends is a farmer and has just purchased some new fastline tractors so I cannot wait to see him next time we pay a visit. The world of agriculture is just so exciting and I think it is so important that children learn about nature and growing crops.
