One of our favorite summertime activities is picking our own fruit. It’s work. It’s hot and sweaty. But it’s fun and the kids enjoy it. Then we come home and do more work like washing, peeling, cutting then deciding whether to freeze, dehydrate, bake or jar. Whatever we decide, the fruit always seems to taste a little sweeter. I think it’s because we put alot of love into it. And it’s not just me–my kids are great helpers.

They are good helpers. I'm impressed that Lucas offered the peach instead of eating it!
