My friend is currently renovating her 80’s-style kitchen to a white farmhouse kitchen. It’s beautiful! There are a few finishing touches and she still has to figure out her backsplash. Oh the backsplash! She’s stumped. I went over there the other day to check out her samples and turned them all down. I think she should do subway tiles, but she wants warmth and is thinking stone. Either way, those tiles are going to be a pain to clean, I just hope she has a decent tile steam cleaner to get the grime off. Those small details are little but can make or break the look of the kitchen. One of the styles that she did was panel most of her appliances but kept her commercial-grade stove stainless. I like how it keeps everything clean-looking and cuts back on the metal.

Darleen, Tell your friend that we have a white kitchen with grey quartz countertops and we went with the white subway tiles, in my humble opinion it is the best choice. I love my kitchen!

I have loads of Italian subway tiles boxed away(from someone over ordering) awaiting my perfect kitchen one day.

I love that black mirror hanging in the kitchen. Isn't that original? Never would have thought to have a mirror there. Love it.
