For February’s gourmet girls group that I attend, the hostesses did a Chinese new year theme. The food was the main focus for the party. Each dish had Chinese symbolic meanings and were amazing! Of course dessert was my favorite–five spice ice cream and pear upside-down cake with homemade caramel sauce. Yum. A murder mystery game was to be played during the dinner so we all came dressed up in character with our murder weapon, but because of time and some of the girls couldn’t attend we ended up foregoing it. But I definitely want to play one of those murder mystery games in the future–how fun would that be for a couple’s party!

I'm so glad we have these recipes so we can TRY to make them again. I just may have to hire Joni to cook for me, and also Amanda.
