Baby food was introduced to Chloe’s diet last week. I like to hold off until six months and then keep it bland for a while. Since she hangs out with us at the table during dinner, she’s been interested in food for a while and I have been thinking about baby led-weaning after learning about it on bestformums.co.uk. It’s only an idea at the minute though! So it wasn’t surprising that she picked up on it quickly. To keep cost down, my goal is to make my own baby food for the most part. And with my vegetable garden growing, I’m hoping it won’t be too hard. Here’s what’s on the menu.

Good to know! I need to start planning ahead and figuring out how to feed little Dax when he's interested.

I love to mash banana and avocado together for my babies. Sounds gross, but they love it!

I need to break out the avocados soon.
If you get the knack, I made pear sauce last year. Just applesauce – but with pears instead. Turned out fabulous and my baby loves it. If you lived closer, I'd bring you over a jar 🙂
