I have a love affair with Cape Cod. I’m completely swoon when I’m there. It’s not just a beach town but it’s a national seashore, which means much of the coastline is preserved and marine life flourishes. So, no large mansions are built up to the beach, but instead cottages are tucked behind green vegetation. There are biking and hiking trails. Lighthouses and large windmills. Salt ponds and sand dunes. And each town is the epitome of New England charm. We ate lobster and salt water taffy, played in the ocean, learned how to skimboard and built sandcastles.

We've only been once, just for the day. After reading your description, I can't wait to get back again to really explore.
