Modern Tub Chair
About six months ago, I found this darling bamboo tub chair from a local buyer for $25. Just one. Wish so much there was two. Anyway, it’s been sitting in my garage for six months now collecting dust and cobwebs. Taking up space, my husband is now fed up and told me to take care of it or get rid of it. So I have prioritize the renovation of this chair and am eager to give it a good face lift and transform it into a modern tub chair. I’ve been on the hunt for a fabric that is calling it’s name to the chair. I want a neutral pattern in the “blues” family and a pattern that is not too loud and busy. I’ve talked to reupholsters and have received price quotes of about $250 to reupholster with about 4 yards of fabric. So I think my total cost would be about $350. Living in an area close to Atlanta, I’m tempted to get price quotes outside the area to get my reupholster cost down. I do think it is quite high and usually reupholsters give higher quotes in a metropolitan area versus the country.
I have received inspiration from a few of these modern tub chairs that I am loving! These chairs are so great to decorate a little nook in the corner of a room or hallway. I am planning to put my tub chair next to the end of our bed. Here are a few of the fabric stores I am looking at: Serena & Lily, Lewis & Sheron, Fabric.Com, Ballard Designs.

I like the pink, and this chair is so pretty, and so soft- good for my bedroom. Very ready to assemble, packaged carefully, arrived safely. I don’t think the low back is supportive enough for living room, but may try it there too just to have a splash of color.
