Get Fancy and In the Holiday Spirit with Your People by Wearing Your Christmas Family Plaids
We love getting dressed up for the holidays especially the Sunday before Christmas. Usually there is a special Christmas program at our church surrounding the birth of Christmas, and we love to pull out our Christmas family plaids and tartan pattern to complement each each other on that special Sabbath day! We always get a little fancy with fur and suits. I love this time, and of course a family photo is definitely needed!

We might not all be in our Christmas family plaids, but someone is usually wearing some kind of plaid pattern. Why is plaid so popular during the holiday season? It goes back to the red and black buffalo checkered pattern in flannels and cozy winter textiles. Now plaid can be found in every kind of fabric in pants, shoes, pajamas, ties, shirts and dresses. Plaid is also a great way to get into the holiday spirit. And I love the preppy look it brings to an outfit. Even just wearing all black and then putting on a plaid scarf makes the outfit completely different and adds that holiday flair. Don’t you agree? Or pairing a green dress with a plaid headband. Makes all the difference!
