Give your Poinsettias an Upgrade by Making These Pretty Centerpieces
Poinsettia flowers are so beautiful and are the Christmas flower! This year I am decorating the house with red accents, so I decided to change out my paperwhite plants for red poinsettias. During Black Friday weekend, I bought a whole bunch of the small poinsettia plants at Home Depot for only $2! Huge deal, and a budget friendly way to decorate with red. They definitely needed an upgrade from the red cellophane plastic coverings! So, I decided to make Christmas poinsettia centerpieces with cedar and white pine branches that I had left over from my front porch winter planters. I made a whole bunch of these centerpieces with bowls and table top planter urns. I placed them on console table, dining table and coffee table! They are just so pretty to look at.
The gold urn I bought at JoAnn’s also during their Black Friday sale. I am also listing some other options below. You can also use a large bowl or tray, but it is best to pick something that will cover the base of the poinsettia plant. I did not take the poinsettia plant out of the plastic black pot but just decorated around it. You can see the full DIY on my Instagram page, I did a quick DIY reel.
As you can see I added, along with the evergreen branches, embellished branches and ornaments around the base. It adds a little sparkle and glitter to the Christmas poinsettia centerpieces.
These are very easy to put together and bring a beautiful look into the home! You can also decorate with white poinsettias if you are going with a neutral Christmas theme, which we usually often do.
