This past weekend we went to the beach to fly our kite. And boy–It was nippy! But we still had fun and watched our kite dance in the sky as we ate our picnic. Then we went bug hunting–turning logs over to uncover a whole a lot of bugs and worms. The kids get a kick out of that especially Lucas. We just have to watch him–he tends to pick up anything he sees whether it be a spider, fly or bee.

Lucas looks so cold. We still have yet to fly a kite with our kids. Shame on us.

Did you know that Toys R Us has a bug vaccuum? You can actually vaccuum up bugs into this little container to examine. The bugs don’t get smashed by hands or the vaccuum. We gave one to my nephew who enjoys bugs and he loves it. Something to think about for Lucas.
